An initial maths assessment will be completed to understand your starting point, strengths and areas where support is needed. Timelines for readiness will depend on:

  • Regular attendance

  • Engagement during sessions

  • Completion of homework and practice tasks

Any timescales discussed are estimates, as each learner progresses differently in a group environment.

Qualification Information

Functional Skills Maths Level 1 (RQF) is broadly equivalent to GCSE Grade 4–1.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

·      Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel a session. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are still chargeable.

·      Rescheduling may be possible where the whole group agrees, but it cannot be guaranteed.

·      If Thread CIC needs to reschedule, we will give as much notice as possible and arrange an alternative.

 

Tutor Information & Safeguarding

All tutors working with Thread CIC are self-employed, fully qualified professionals contracted and paid by Thread. Thread carries out all safer recruitment requirements, including enhanced DBS checks, references and safeguarding training where appropriate.
